Bio:

I am a Washington native and attended Bowie State University where I received a degree in Business Management and a minor in Graphic Design. I began my career in the restaurant/hospitality industry where I started as a hostess, then became a server and dabbled in bartending which led me to management.

I joined Colonial Parking in January of 2020 as Operations Manager of five different locations across the DC Metro area. I consider this to be one of the best jobs I’ve ever had.

 


Tell me a little bit about yourself?

I recently discovered my love for horticulture and interior decorating. I also have a background in the beauty industry and am about to start my own business, which I am super excited about. Between that and being a mom to my 4-year-old, my life is pretty active.

 


What are some of your regular duties as Operations Manager?

My main duty as an Operations Manager is ensuring our clients and customers are always happy. I do this by making sure the staff at all my locations are compliant with Colonial Parking’s customer service standards. I am also in charge of making sure inspections, daily revenue, and all accounts are accurate. I take care of all administrative responsibilities, so our customers and clients have all the necessary credentials and information for using our garages and lots.

 


What do you like about working in parking?

I love that it is something new that I’ve never done and I really enjoy learning new systems. I love being able to connect with multiple customers from all our different tenants at my five locations.

 


Why do you like working at Colonial Parking?

I love working for a company that values everything we do. We strive to be the best in the business. I also love that everyone is so nice and helpful; it’s like we’re a big family. I like that I can voice my ideas and be innovative.


 

What do you think makes you good at your job?

I would definitely say my team. I truly have the best team any manager could ask for. They pretty much make sure my job is a success and I love to learn from them. I also think my personality, high standards and willingness to go above and beyond by any means necessary helps keep good morale and our clients love our quality of service.


 

What are your goals at Colonial?

My goals are to spend more time in the field learning daily operations of parking, which will eventually help me grow within the company. I want to be able to establish long-lasting relationships with our clients to possibly drive more business.
